EXPERT FINANCIAL ADVICE FOR DIVORCE

Dec 7, 2009

The New York Times has run some very good articles on financial decisions and divorce recently. They are relatively short and definitely worth a read for anyone that is contemplating separation and divorce.

Financial Decisions to Make as You Divorce provides advice from financial professionals on several important financial decisions that have to be made as you separate and enter the divorce process.  This article specifically mentions collaborative divorce and mediation as low-cost processes for resolving divorce related legal issues.

Experienced in Love and Money provides some good advice about choosing a lawyer and navigating the divorce process in a financially intelligent manner.  This article also mentions the multitude of ways to resolve divorce related legal issues, including collaborative law

I recommend both articles as a way to stimulate the thinking process for any one that is facing separation or divorce.
